Why it matters

Causes freezes and slowness; points to a failing disk, cable, controller or overloaded storage.

What to do

• Check disk health and firmware.
• On VMs, check host storage latency.

Find it with PowerShell

Add -ComputerName SERVER to query another machine. Other event sources can reuse the same ID number, so check the ProviderName column.
